My Mom: Susan Keenan
My mom was a nurse for 20 years. Diagnosed with diabetes at age 13 she passed in 1991 from complications of the disease. My mom was an amazing woman. She was the most unselfish, giving person I have ever met. Despite being blind, and confined to a wheelchair, she never complained. She was always more worried about me and my brother and sister than she ever was about herself.
The most notable thing I learned from her: You get more from giving than taking.
