About

The Keenan family starts with Jim and Ellen Keenan. However, that is about as simple as it gets.   For many of you keeping up with all the different names and faces it can be a bit baffling.  Consider this page, your index for keeping up with all the people, relationships, and family members this blog is gonna throw at you.  Feel free to refer to to  this page often, you’re probably going to need it.

OK, it starts with me (Jim Keenan).  The son of Matthew and Susan Keenan, adopted when I was 8 months old.  I am the oldest of 3.  I have a brother Derek and a sister Meagan.   I know, most of you know this, BUT, this is the easy part.

Then there is Ellen, the daughter of Ed (Ted) and Susan Murdie.   She is the only girl of 4.  Ellen has two older brothers; Chris and Mike (twins), and a younger brother Scott.

Ellen and I have 4 kids, Kenna 3, Elle 20 months and Jeffery (12) and Lexi (15) from Ellen’s first marriage.

Now this is where things get interesting, as I stated earlier, I was adopted.   In 1992, at 24, I found my birth mother and her family.   This includes; Aggie Endres, (my Birth Mom), her Mother Mia, and her sisters; Michelle, Lisa, Diny, Cindy, and her brothers Van, and Joey.  The Endres family is from S. Illinois, where they grew up on a farm in Vergennes.  The farm is still in the family and is run by Van. It is a gorgeous property.  We visit almost every year.  Ellen and I share 25 acres on a lake on a farm with Van and his family.  It is our favorite “rest up” spot.

I also want to introduce you to, my daughter Kori (21) who I put up for adoption, at birth, in 1989.  Kori and I were united in 2007.

There you have it.  In recap, Ellen is the daughter of Ed and Sue, and has 3 brothers; Chris, Mike and Scott.  I (Jim) am the son of Matthew and Susan, and have a brother Derek and a sister Meagan.  I found my birth mother Aggie and her family; Mother Mia, sisters; Michelle, Diny, Cindy, Diny, and brothers; Van and Joey in 1992.  Kori is my birth daughter who I found in 2007.

I know, it can be confusing, but overtime, it will become second nature.
