Look Mom, I’m Floating
Sunday, June 28th, 2009Elle jumped in and let the floatie wings do the work right away. Kenna was an entirely different story. I wasn’t sure how I was going to get over this one. After a number of poor attempts, I bribed her with gum.
It went something like this. You let go of me and count to 3 while your floating and I’ll let you have a piece of gum when we get home. I think she was floating with in the next minute. I guess we all have our own motivators.
After that Kenna stayed in the water by herself for 20 minutes. She was hooked.
Sometimes getting over the hump is the most difficult part. Then it’s all downhill from there. We just need the right motivation. In this case it was a stick of EXTRA (Watermelon flavor.)
